What medical field would this fall into? To treat hepatitis? |
My mom has Hepatitis C and we need to find her a doctor to help with the treatment. Which medical field is it? Look for a Dr. who is either a gastroenterologist or hepatologist. And good luck to your mom. There are good treatments out there for Hep C. I wish your mom the best of luck in finding a good doctor. Tell her she should have a liver biopsy done and join a Hepatitis C Support group in your area. Her general medical doctor should be able to refer her. Sometimes infectuous disease specialists can also be called in if needed.
