Can you donate a kidney if you have had hepatitis B?

I would say NO!!Well the way that things going now maybe not because people bodys are so much differnt.maybe no is the answer
Organ donation is a wonderful idea although I am not a donor and NO you may not donate a kidney if you have had hepatitis B. In fact the have had is not a good term as if you have had hepatitis B you still do and even if it is inactive now it may become active later. I appreciate the thought and I hope and pray that your hepatitis does not become a problem for you.
No.
Donated organs, blood, and tissues have the potential to spread disease. While donated blood is screened for a wide variety of pathogens, donated organs are usually screened only for the most common and dangerous pathogens, typically HIV, hepatitis, and syphilis.
