I read somewhere that 200,000 people r infected with hepatitis c in England now. and 5out of 6 r unaware .?


Is it right? 400,000 people r infected inthe uk with the virus r compeletly unaware they have been infected. is it true? and Iknow the all ways of spreading hep c. tell me r those people at risk, those visited the dental or surgerical operation in the past 1 year. ?

not sure, but in america over 4 million are infected and not even half know they have it! chances are the doctors are treating a symptom of hcv as something on it's own! (which can be dangerous!)

i would assume that the dentistry and surgical departments take every precaution to not spread hcv. if your afraid, ask the doctor before being operated on or before the dentist uses any tool in your mouth. It might be wise to get a test prior to going or having proceedures done, then test again afterwords if your that worried.

the sooner it's caught, the easier it is to treat!
