Do physicians in a psychiatric unit of a hospital routinely test their patients for Hepatitis C?

no they dont . my opion?pretty much these days any unit of the hospital that you have to be admitted into will test you for hepatitis c, or b, or a, for that matter~ i know it can come up on a regular drs. office visit/physical, as it is a standard blood test~ (CBC). they will check your liver enzymes, and if they are elevated, then they would look for hepatitis.
