Who Has Taken Aldomet For High Blood Pressure During Pregnancy???

I just wanted to know who has taken this medicine during pregnancy, I was prescribed it because of my high blood pressure. My Dr. says its completely safe to take during pregnancy, and I take it as he gave it to me, but taking anything during pregnancy makes me a bit nervous, so any stories or input would be great. I took it from the beginning of all 3 of my pregnancies. Its safe. All my babies are fine. dont worry about it.

i am again 3 months pregnant and signs are beginning to show for high blood pressure so i can sympathise. in my last pregnancy in 06 i had high blood pressure at 14 weeks 130 over 95 where they prescribed me methodopa things got worse so they gave me labetalol and another tablet i cant remember the name but it was not called what your on. i think it would be wise to check with you local chemist about this tablet as they know more about it than doctors.this tablet was never offered to me and i was told there were no other know safe tablets on the market to give in pregnancy.not to say there not safe just that they have not tried them in pregnant women.i had labetalol by drip in the end at 33 weeks and had babe a day later at 7lb 10 so good luck x
