Is my gf blood pressure too high? 166/144 ? |
My gf walked to the store and came back, then she sat down for 20 mins and checked her blood pressure and it was 166/144 pulse 84. Then later on she checked it again and it was 122/77 pulse 119. She is 22 years old. After exercise, no problem. If the 122/77 is her normal resting BP, that's great, but the 119 pulse is not right...if that is her normal resting pulse there is something seriously wrong. (assuming there is no meth or cocaine use, or that she didn't down 3 red-bulls) it is true to have an increase after exercise.. i just wondered about the diastolic (the lower half of the reading).. that is pretty high for a 22 year old even after exercise. but her resting HR and BP are fine. i suggest checking it every so often. I suspect the very high reading is simply erroneous. Maybe the cuff (or whatever was used) was not put on exactly right, or some other glitch occurred. If it keeps happening, see a doc. It's fine. It was high because of recent exercise. its normal i take pills for my BP and im 22 |

Your blood pressure is now normal BECAUSE of them. Your MD and/or office ... you will be fine. they will do the 24 hour urine test and let you know what is going on. they will keep you on the medication until you get a little further along and then induce labor.
