Blood pressure always normal now suddenly high?

I have always had good blood pressure anywhere from 107/66 to 120/80. I have been to the docs many times in the past months, the most recent 6 weeks ago. My blood pressure was normal. This morning, I got up too early, had too much caffeine, no food, and had a big fight with my hubby. I also suffer from panic attacks. I had an appt. at the OB - and was nervous about that too. They took my blood pressure and it was 150/108 mind you I cried all the way there. then they took it again before i left. it was 153/110 so they told me to see my doctor. I went in the afternoon, after still being upset about the fight, and scared about the blood pressure.it was 138/96 when I got there. Doc told me it was the combo of stress and caffeine. She saw that I had been there 6 timesthis year and all were good. I am 28, and a bit overweight. She just warned me about the caffeine, and salt.took it again before I left and it was down to 128/86. told me not to worry . Should I get it checked again? Opinions?

If you are under alot of stress&are drinking alot ofcaffine drinks. Yes thats going to raise your B.P.Try to get away from the stress& do some very relaxing peacefull things. And try too lay off the caffine drinks.Yes you may have to see the doctor again too.Just take care of yourself!! Good Luck!!

It's the caffeine and the stress. Next time you are having your BP taken---lay off the caffeine TOTALLY before the test, and take 10 deep cleansing breaths THEN have them take your BP.

And tell your husband to LAY OFF, he's causing your HBP and when you die, you'll come back to haunt him!

Being overweight (even a little) doesn't help. Plus the stress.
Try losing a few pounds (even 5 to 10 ) will significantly lower BP. And don't take fights too seriously, in 100 years whatever made you upset will not matter.
