last time my bp was 108/88 thats the lowest it has been in a while and that was me off the meds but every now and then i feel my heart race and i see spots in front of my eyes i get headaches and hot flashes should i go back in the meds?

i do avoid salt and caffiene i do have it occasionaly not half as much as i used to and i have lose weight but i cant lose the last 40 no matter what i do and i hate taking meds and i dont like the though that i have to take something forever thanks again for all your help

You need to let your doctor know exactly what symptoms you are experiencing. Your doctor may tell you to come back in for an evaluation, and to check your BP reading. Your doctor would need to decide whether or not you should go back on the medication or not.

Since you have a history of hypertension it would be a smart idea to invest in a home BP cuff to monitor your BP each day. If you are having recurrent palpitations and headaches you should seek professional help. Your best bet would be to get on meds and stay on them along with losing weight and avioding salt and caffeine.

I have trouble with my BP also. I take my BP everyday (u can get a home monitor to do it with) and if mine is high I take a whole BP pill, if it is normal I take a half a pill (I cut it in half) and if it is low I don't take any pill at all but keep checking it a couple of times to see if it stays low or goes higher. Mine is uncontrollable also so this is how I do mine.
