High blood pressure meds. dyazide 37.5-25 once daily?

was wondering if anyone else has taken this med. for high blood pressure. the last 3 times i went to my dr. my blood pressure was high. dont remember the top number but the bottom was 98 the first time, 101 the second time and today was 95 and he put me on the dyazide in the mornings with my breakfast. is this a low dose? was wondering cuz he kinda scared me with the "lightheaded and dizziness" side effects. i start the med. tomorrow any advice would help thanks!

Well, if he put you on medicine, it is obviously consistently high enough to cause health risks/problems.

Dyazide's main dosage is what you are taking.
It is comprised of 2 different medicines working together in one pill.

Lightheaded and dizziness are side effects of all BP medicines and it can simply not be avoided.

This would most likely occur right when you stand up.

Some medicines have worst effects than others and there is plenty of BP medicine options on the market if this one effects you in a negative way.

Just take the medicine tomorrow morning, it's not anything to worry about. Just take the pill and go on with your daily business.

I do recommend purchasing a blood pressure monitor and taking daily readings to see how it is managing your BP.

I would take results for 1 week and present them to your doctor, as you just started a new medication.

Have a good one!

It is the high side or your blood pressure which you should know. Anything over 120 could be a problem.. Listen to your physician. The side effect is only a possible effect. it may not even last when you get accustomed to the new drug.
If you have problems call him, he may modify the dosage or change to another drug. High blood pressure can result in a brain hemorrhage (stroke) or other problems.

I have high blood I take (hydrochloride 25mg ) ever day for the last 15 years.

You have to change your eating, Don't drink, Don't let not thing get next to you And try to relax .
