How does high blood pressure affect the baby? |
I am 37 weeks and 3 days and got admitted to L&D today because of high BP, and I was just curious, how does it affect the baby? Well your doctor admitted you mainly for YOUR health, because high blood pressure can cause a stroke or heart failure and pregnant or not its not good thats why in the hospital they check it all the time while you are their.So if it does get high they can get it under control. It reduces the blood flow to the placenta, therefore reducing oxygen to the baby. Here is a link for some info... |
