How long would it take for high blood pressure to cause heart arrhythmias? |
I have been wondering this for a little while. My blood pressure has been slightly elevated for the past few weeks, but nothing serious. It usually runs about 132/89, or sometimes a little higher. Could this cause my heart to have abnormal rythms? no, in fact high blood pressure rarely leads to arrythmias. this is why it is called the silent killer, many go thru life never knowing they have a blood pressure issue until they have a stroke. Those are two completely different issues. They call the high blood pressure the pluming part of the heart where the arrhythmias are the electrical part. They have nothing to do with one another. |
