High blood pressure and heart disease....?

i am only 31, i have been put on medicine for high blood pressure, i could only take it for a month because my insurance got dropped...(long story)..anyway....i am not taking my meds now...i am not obese....as a matter of fact i have just reached my 10lb weight loss mark...only 10 more to my goal... there is a strong history of heart disease in my family on my fathers side. I just lost him before Halloween of this year at the age of 55...due to diabetes..i dont have diabetes as of yet. He did have heart disease as well. but the sugar took out his kidneys....I am under and extreme amount of stress right now...with the loss of my father...the holidays, my job, my 4 kids, and my insecure husband. Needless to say....don't tell me to take time for myself...it aint gonna happen!! :( Ok....so, i'm thinking that i have the makings of a good heart attack in the near future... chest pains are often.. And my extreme outbursts are more frequent. i'm losing sleep...o ya i have sleep apnea as well...plus an ulcer....arthritis..so on and so forth....yeah..i'm really only 31!!!!!! SO...is it possible that i could get a heart transplant givin all these factors??? i guess in my mind that is my only life saver right now...any experts out there? or people with experience? I would like to just be put on a list for the transplant....what else could i do?

i exercise daily....

You will not get a heart transplant for the symptoms you have mentioned. What is the name of the medication that you are now taking for your hypertension? You have alot on your plate. You need to see your family Dr. about the symptoms and have a cardiac evaluation and get councelling to help you deal with all of this Take care, Donna OMG when did you find the time to exercise? Or sleep? Honey you need to make out a list of all your issues and sit down with your family Dr and make out a plan of treatment because I feel this is not going to get better without one. What sort of support systems do you have? family, girlfriends, neighbours? If anyone deserved a girls night out, it's you (leaving your kids out of it) It's so important to laugh. Take care, Donna

do you need a new heart? A new heart wont get rid of your high blood pressure. Sounds like you have some serious mental issues which you should get help for. I don't think you understand how much time you would have to take for yourself if you got a new heart and also it would cost a lot more than just taking or buying your bp pills.

Lose weight, always helps.
You must stay on medication; if you're non-compliant nobody will transplant a heart to be damaged by careless attitude to health.

The problems you describe are not heart problems, they're vascular problems. If you got a heart transplant (just for argument's sake) your blood pressure readings would be the same.

This is because they rise with stress, which won't be affected by a replacement heart.

Of course, there may be additional underlying problems too, but unless they're cardiac-related, they too will still be there, causing your brain to make the heart pump harder.

As Donna asks, what meds are you on?

They don't just transplant organs when you request it. Heart transplantation is reserved for people in end-stage heart failure. Not to mention, the risks involved with heart transplantation are very high. If you asked for a heart transplant on the kind of health problems you have, a doctor would laugh at you.

I've seen worse cases of health problems then you in a pediatric population. Your health problems actually aren't that big.

High blood pressure (over time) can cause problems that could lead to bigger problems but not if you keep your BP controlled.

Take your medication, exercise daily, eat healthy.

Nobody's life is perfect.

I have had similar symptoms. There is a new product on the horizon that has worked everytime by everyone who has used it. It's called Seven+. It is not a drug, so no side efx. It is also guaranteed and offers a free 7 day challenge just to see if it will work for you. But be careful...It has a ton of anti oxidants, vitamins and minerals Omegas...too much to mention, but it will also help your energy level, sleep quality, not to mention the countless ailments and diseases it is responsible for helping. It's been a blessing to everyone I have referred it to. go to www.brolinforexfuze.iexfuze.net spend some time lookin thru it. There are tons of testimonials, some from well known athletes, coaches, and everyday folks. You can also make a lil extra money if you choose to. It is well worth your time to check it out. E mail me at crosquist@utah.gov if you have questions. It is relatively unknown because it's only been available for about 1 year.Best regards, Cary

You could enter a no-fat and no-cholesterol diet. But you would die within days....hmm...
