I need wisdom teeth removed but high blood pressure causing dentist to put it off? |
I've had high blood pressure ever since I was 5 years old. I'm currently 20 now, but the past couple times I've gone to the dental surgeon he's had to put off the removal because my bp was too high. My gp has me on medication to control it (which it does), but it can be normal for months then I go the morning to have them out and it goes up like crazy. Last time I tried it was 120/101 I believe; normally it's 90's/70's or so. How am I going to be able to have them taken out when the morning I go it always goes up! My dr even sent a note telling the surgeon it was ok, but he still wouldn't do it. Now I'm frustrated and in mild pain. I only have the two bottom ones coming in and they are both impacted. Find another dentist. The reason they wont is the anesthesia messes with your blood pressure also.If your physician says it's okay to be anesthetized there is no reason he shouldn't remove your wisdom teeth and make you more comfortable. It's all about law suits now days. Have him put you to sleep and take them out. try eating oats for breakfast! My mum ha a high bp and did this for a few weeks aswell as being on medication and a couple of monthes later she threw her meds away and now doesnt even have a high bp problem! |
