High Blood Pressure !!?

i have always had low blood pressure, just below the norm, and i recently fell il with very bad cough and chest and water infection which has now gone as i had high dosage of antibiotics, stopped taking last saturday, but my blood pressure is hih and i go dizzy on leaning for something and feel the pressure, is this gonna go or do i need to see Dr, i hope not to as i dont want anymore time off work, not being a martyr jus been off enuf. Thanks

What was your actual BP reading and was this an average reading? Single BP readings should never be considered diagnostic. Has your Dr looked into other causes for your dizziness? You need to see your Doctor

You can buy a small blood pressure tester from Boots to help monitoring your blood pressureat regular intervals. But if you go dizzy when leaning forward at present, you should see the doctor first to check you out. He may say you have nothing to worry about or he may put you on medication. Do not take this matter lightly. It's not a cold or a back ache that you hope will go away eventually. Better be safe than sorry.

When you say high have you recorded it or do you just think it is? Dizziness is far more common with low blood pressure not high. If you are feeling pressure it could be sinuses. Why dont you get the nurse at the surgery to take your blood pressure if you are worried

You really do need to go and see your doctor, high blood pressure can be controlled by medication if need be. I have high blood pressure and have never had to have time off work with this.

First off what is your BP reading? It's difficult to answer when you don't give us your BP reading. What you might consider high blood pressure may not be high at all.
