What is high blood pressure & its proper diet?

Hi, I am not a well qualified doctor, but I can give you some basic info and references and if you are not satisfied, make an appointment with your Dr.
An "in thing right now" is the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet. I will give you a link to the e-book but in short, in case you don't want to read it: a diet low in saturated fat, cholesterol, and total fat and emphasizes fruits, veggies, fat-free & low-fat milk/milk products. Reducing red meat, sweets, added sugars, and sugar-containing beverages.

Also, if you are into more herbal treatments you might want to try green tea (caffeine free of course). This is a beneficial link as it explains the benefits of green tea in regards to high blood pressure and heart disease too.
