High blood pressure help me?

i just got my pressure check and i got 190/110 what can i do. i hAVE no health isssance and i dont want to go to the hospital.

My suggestion to you would be to do a few things: First of all, take a close look at your diet. If you use a lot of salt, you must cut that down immediately. (Be aware that most processed foods, soft drinks, and "fast foods" are loaded with salt/sodium) Secondly, if you are overweight, you need to do something about that. I don't mean to sound like a nag, but these few factors can have a huge influence upon your blood pressure. I also would strongly suggest that you get outside and do some walking. If you're not used to this, start out with shorter distances and gradually increase it. It would be very wise to get to where you can walk two to three miles each day, and aim work up to a brisk pace.

Your blood pressure is high, no doubt. I don't know how old you are or what your other health issues may be. I don't know about your weight, etc. It is so difficult to make sound advice without having all the facts. It is difficult when you need to be seen by a physician and you have no medical coverage. Do you qualify for Medicaid insurance coverage in your state? Perhaps there is a facility in your area that would see you and allow you to make payments. I would certainly suggest checking into this.

Eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, exercise, drink a lot of water, and also pay close attention to the amount of stress that you have in your life. I am a chiropractor and practice in the Minneaplolis area, and my approach to health and health care is often based upon the most common sense principles of wellness. I wish you luck with this, and hope you find a good solution quickly.

Here's to your health,
Dr. P.

To lower blood pressure, avoid foods that Raise blood pressure (salty foods) and eat foods that lower blood pressure (those high in potassium). Also, walk just 40 minute a day at a moderate pace.
