Due yesterday, high blood pressure? |
So I went for my checkup yesterday (4/3) and my blood pressure was 148/100! I was instructed to lay on my left side and 2 or 3 readings later it was down to an acceptable level. My next appt is Tuesday but Ive been instructed to take it easy and lay around as that keeps my bp down...so what can I do to help ease into labor? I can't walk because that's more than opposite of laying down, we are already having sex...Im 2cm dilated, 50%effaced but not soft...i feel like Im being stabbed in the hoohaa...She said she'd induced me next Friday (depending on how appt goes on Tuesday or unless I have the baby by then)....someone help me! Wow, today's your due date huh? I've crossed my fingers for you. i have high BP and my daughter came out a week early.your doc. should've done the same thing.but you got to take it easy.do much of nothing including no SEX....gosh i hope you be fine... There is loads of stuff that you could try...some people swear by it, others say is all a load of rubbish. Sex...worked for me, but obviously not for you. Drinking raspberry tea. Eating fresh pineapple. Eating a hot curry. Walking, but like you said you can't do that because of your bp. Nipple stimulation. Acupuncture. Finally try getting someone to take you for a bumpy car ride. My sister took me out 1 week before I was due, she had just passed her test and put it this way I was pleased when I arrived home safely. I was in labour 12 hours later!! I really hope that one of these works for you and that you don't have much longer to wait. Best of luck! You should be taking your blood pressure every hour. You are due now, you need to tell your Dr you are to be induced now!!! I had high blood pressure with my recent pregnancy and was immediately taken to the ER and had a c-section. It is very very dangerous for a baby to be in that condition. My ob/gyn told me that my babies could have died as well as me. I hope you know that high blood pressure and being pregnant is deadly for you and your baby. Don't wait until next Friday that is completely ridiculous!!! My blood pressure was 170/100 or something like that, and this was discovered at my last routine checkup before my estimated delivery date. My babies were 4 weeks early, but healthy they were 6lbs 7oz and 6lbs 4oz. I was also dilated 4cm because I was in preterm labor at 29 weeks and had to be on bedrest for 18 days at the hospital. Please don't wait, it's wrong for the dr to wait that long. If you are having health issues there should be no hesitation, you are carrying a little life that depends on YOUR good judgment. You are the mommy, and i'm sure you want the best for your baby. Don't make your self suffer, and please dont let any dr tell you what to do at this point. It is time for you to have a baby.... |
