I am on metroprolol sr 50 for high blood pressure?

it is more than a decade i was dicovered hypertensive.
presently i am on metroprolol succinate sr. I am on holiday now and the phrmacy nereby has only metroprolol tartarate. is both same or different.

Your regular med is timed release. 50 mg over 24 hours.

"metroprolol tartarate" is the non-timed release form. The equivalent would be 25mg TWICE daily.

Can't the pharmacist tell you that? He should know. Or call your doctor.
