Diabetic, stent in heart, high blood pressure, need to be on my meds, cant afford, no medical coverage.? |
I used to get scripts from my doctor so I could send them in to the companies that manufactur my meds & get them for free. Now the doc syas I have to have lab work done. I dont have the $ for an office call & lab fees. I've aplied with the State & was turned down. I'm 58. Not a senior citizen yet & have no minors to care for. It's a deadend road for me. No meds for almost 6mos now. Not sure how luch longer I can go at this pace. Keep in mind some pharma studies going on that need volunteers with people with diagnosed medical problems. There are often postings for them on newsgroups. I was offered a study for diabetics that would have given free blood tests, doctors visits and all drugs for 24 months. It also would have paid a small amount of salary as well. so whats your question? I understand having financial problems so just suck it up have the lab work done and pay them 5 dollars a month so that you can get your meds. Preventing the proper lab work which will give you the medications you require is basically your own decision. Look at these prices: http://www.inhousepharmacy.com/diabetes/... http://www.inhousepharmacy.com/heart-hea... You don't need lab work or a prescription. No shipping charges. Take something for your blood pressure and diabetes even if it is not exactly what you were on before. You can go to a store and get you BP checked. Metformin is pretty safe for any diabetic and doesn't make your sugar go too low or high. Some of the others are cheap too. In your case, you need to play doctor even if you are not doing it perfectly. Here is an example of the prices and what you could possibly need: (for blood pressure)Frusemide 40mg 1000 Tablets US $40.00 (water pill, use with care) Packet of Capoten 12.5mg (90 Tablets) US $30.00 (for diabetes) Glyciphage (Metformin/Glucophage) 850mg - 100 Tablets US $15.00 (usually causes diarrhea at first) Gliben (Glyburide) 2.5mg 100 Tablets US $11.00 I am sure you have taken medicine long enough to know about dosages. The website can help with that also. You might want to check out http://www.98mi.info/sitemap/ for diabetic supplies |
