depends on how much u drink.. research indicates that 80 ml/day can lower BP.. where as excessive can lead to hypertension.. also wine is considered good for heart. i forgot red or white one..
In moderate amounts it is good for the heart.

If the consumption is to the point that liver damage and chirossis occurs causing acites [fluid buildup in the abdomen] the blood pressure will be severely high.
yes it thins your blood thats why it causes high blood pressure.
