What DISEASES are a result of high blood pressure? |
I probably should already know, and I know it causes heart and kidney failure, but what else is there? I know I'm stupid. High blood pressure affects any organ that is vascular or has a high blood content. It affects the small vessels, arteries, and veins because the pressure is altered. It can cause heart attacks, kidney failure, liver failure, peripheral vascular disease, strokes, ocular / eyes, and diabetes.There are many problems that can result because of high blood pressure like head aches, shortness of breath, fatigue, tiring out easily, swelling in the extremities. The key to treatment is to remember to take your medications everyday and not to stop just because you start feeling better. Source(s): registered nurse You are not stupid. I think one is Diabetes. There is several types. I am not sure what type that one is though. Having a consistently high blood pressure can cause a stroke and other cardiovascular problems. If the person has diabetes, it can be quite dangerous to have uncontrolled high blood pressure, as well. First of all, just because you don't know something, it does not mean you are stupid. You can get diabetes, cancer, stroke, heart attack. Go easier on yourself, you sound like you're intelligent,except when you refer to yourself as stupid. Blood pressure problems can also lead to strokes, which can cause brain damage and death. Also eye damage. Diabetes is the most major one. |
