I found out my father has very high blood pressure? |
High blood pressure and is having trouble breathing from time to time. He won't go to the doctor to get medication, I know he's heading for a stroke or heart attack. How can I convince him to go see a doctor before it's too late? Why must he be stubborn? Maybe you can't , some people are like that, including my own father.He had similar symptoms to yours. No way would he go and see a doctor. It took a ( fortunately ) mild heart attack before he he sought help. Unfortunately , with some people, the more you try and convince them, the more stubborn they become. bummer I think thats what marriage and kids do to you. tell him you need him and want hi around to watch you grow. Then make an appointment I would try and make sure he realizes your concern for his health and remind him that getting medical attention is very important. Further than that I'd try bribery maybe... Is there anyone else who you could get involved in this, any other family? I guess I would have to know what the reason he gives for not going to the doctor's to be of more help. i have high BP. and had a heart attack from it and stress. drag his butt to the doc. if he wont go let him know a heart attack hurts like @#$@#$!@#!@#!@#$%@#$%#$% if he still wont go, get your friends, knock the idiot out and take him. force feed him his bp meds if thats what it takes, after a few days he will take them on his own when he sees how much better he feels on the meds. |
