What is the treatment for diabetes and high blood pressure? |
What is the treatment for diabetes and high blood pressure? It varies depending on your individual situation. You may be able to treat it with just a healthy diet and exercise. Or you may need to take medication and/or insulin, in addition to a healthy diet and exercise. talk to a doctor you trust. There are numerous drug options for both conditions. You need to find a combination that gives you most benefits with least side effects. It depends on your needs and type of diabetes my husband has both and for him it's medication, diet, exercise, and doctors he's a type 2 i'm sorry to say this but, there is no treatment. sorry I had chronic high blood pressure but my doctor put me on a combination of lisinopril (which dually does bp and protects kidneys from damage - ace inhibitor), norvasc and zocor. Since being on them, along with more exercise - my bp is down to normal - I had high cholesterol too due to some kidney damage, etc. Consult your physician!! |
