Recently I have started taking Lozar + Metoral for high blood pressure. Can they these be taken intermittently?

Some times my blood pressure goes below normal while being on these drugs. My doctor advises to stop using them and resume after a few days .Can this practice be harmful?
My doctor tells me that Lozar and Mitoral may be taken intermittently and there is no harm in doing so.Can you verify that.

Yes, they may be taken intermittenly. Just do not take both at the same time. You could take one and then 24 hours later take another. However, you may notice blood sugar changes if you stop using Metoral, which has metformine, a type of generic sugar. If you are diabetic, and you stop taking Metoral, this could be dangerous. If you are not diabetic, the best bet would be to stop taking Metoral and just use Lozar.
