Has anyone having short term memory problems from high blood pressure? |
I've had two rounds of psychological testing and recently the Dr told me it's a problem with working memory. Do you mean from the hypertension or the medication? Mine (Lotensin 20/HCT) makes me a little sleepy, which isn't so bad since I take it at bedtime. If you think it's your meds, get some new ones; three are hundreds of different meds for hypertension. Is there really anything so good going on in the world that you would WANT to remember it? I found I have trouble remembering things I think are trivial-why would I even want to remember most things that happen? For important things, I keep a log book. We live in a complex world and the shortest pencil is better than the longest memory. what was the question? .you may want to get checked for sleep apnea at a sleep lab..if you snore a lot or wake up tired all the time , may be a sign of apnea ...it causes short term memory loss , amongst many other side effects due to lack of deep healing sleep stages...there are easy treatments for it that work effectively No I have never.... wait what was I saying? Oops! I will be right back, I forgot to take my blood pressure medicine.....I am back!!!! ...now that I have taken my eyedrops...What was the question? me The simple answer is that short term memory problems are not due to high blood pressure. |
