Has any of you had experience with herbal remedies for high blood pressure? |
A dear friend has uncontrolled high blood pressure. He's 28, and we don't want to lose him! He's taking traditional meds, exercizing and dieting, but nothing works. Red yeast rice statin - helps with the cholesterol that can cause high blood pressure. Also suggest he get tested for hyperinsulinemia (a pre-diabetic condition). If he tests high on a fasting blood insulin test, then that may be the underlying cause of his high blood pressure. Eating to control hyperinsulinemia (about the same diet as a diabetic), might help, if he doesn't want to get tested. I am a diabetic, but my husband (tested high for insulin) has high blood pressure.
