What kind of oral contraceptives are available for someone with high blood pressure? |
I don't want to do the IUD or Diaphragm thing. Serious answers only and no "God doesn't want people to take birth control answers" please. Thanks. I think that God absolutely wants people to take birth control. Do not try the patch. It gives you 60% more hormones than the pill, and that is very, very dangerous for someone with high blood pressure. The best thing for someone with high blood pressure is the Copper IUD. It has no hormones. However, you said you didn't want IUDs, so there are a few other options. Condoms, of course, have no hormones. There is also the FAM (family planning) method of following your menstual cycles. And lastly, there are the low-dose contraceptives like Ortho Tricyclen Low, but I've heard of people getting pregnant while using them, so perhaps "low" means "not as effective." try the patch I think this question would be best answered by a doctor. Do you already have children and are you wanting to prevent more, or are you young, not married, not wanting children yet? If you are the first and have all the children you want, I would suggest, either you or your man get the chop. (sterilisation) If you are young not married with no children I would suggest using condoms, and the withdrawal method. Each and every time you have intercourse, these methods, when used properly do prevent unwanted pregnancies. There is the morning after pill as a back up to these methods. You can always just use oral sex or masturbation as an alternative to intercourse. These methods of showing affection are as affective or more so than intercourse and usually guaranty an orgasm for both partners. This will prevent any pregnancy. You Can't As There Is No Alternative http://www.healthsquare.com/newrx/ora131... |
