Is there any thing that I can take for my high blood pressure instead of prescription drugs.? |
The meds that I am on makes me tired all of the time. Ask about a different med. Norvasc works for me. Also stop using salt completely. you cannot stop the meds without consulting a ddoctor, it can negatively impact the heart. if you decrease your salt intake and exercise im sure your blood pressure would decrease. This may sound crazy, but I really have heard this from several people at my church. There is this juice called Golgi juice. It is made from some kind of fruit from overseas somewhere. It is suppose to lower about everything in your body. It is also good for diabetes and cholesterol. Healthy diet and exercise. No, there is nothing OTC that will relieve your high bp. You should check with your doctor to maybe try another medicine. There is a possibility that it is making it a little too low, that's why you are feeling tired. You should check it at the pharmacy every now and then. There are many different drugs they can prescribe and experiment with the doses but if you quit taking the meds altogether your bp can go back up within days, in some cases hours and you'll be back to where you started. garlic and excersise, this is turn over time will lower blood peassure. I know i had to do the same thing, this is a slow process but does work over time. regular exercise provides many benefits. It tones up the heart and other muscles, strengthens bones, lowers blood pressure, strengthens the respiratory system, helps raise hdl (good cholesterol),gives a sense of well being, decreases tension, aids in weight control ,enhances work capacity, and confers a sense of achievement. |
