Does anyone have experience of felodipine in the treatment of high blood pressure? |
In particular in comparison with Atenolol. Atenolol is a beta blocker while felodipine is a calcium channel blocker. Both are for hypertension but each has a different mechanism of action in lowering blood pressure. Both are effective in controlling high blood pressure but this is case dependent. They can actually be given together. Also, felodipine has the advantage of being longer acting so it can be given once a day. Of course, as with any medication, both drugs are not without side effects. There are other drugs in the market that can be and are more effeective that the above mentioned medication like ARB`s and ACE inhibitors, etc. Before taking any of these medication, please consult your doctor. I take both Felodopine and Atenolol and also Ramaprill and I havn't had any problems or side effects. The only thing with Felodopine is you can't eat or drink grapefruit. www.diet4you.uk.net have 25 years experience in the health and wellness industry and have a wide range of diets to help with all sorts of health issues. visit their web site at www.diet4you.uk.net and get a free consultation from them highly recommended www.diet4you.uk.net As a sufferer of High Blood pressure, I wish I knew what you were talking about !!! i am on attenolol ,amlodipine(blood/heart)ramipr...
