What natural medicine, herbal, etc could I try for very high blood pressure? I have to come off some tablets. |
I'm currently taking Amlodipine 5 mg and Bisoprolol 2.5 mg and I'm putting on a lot of weight which is defeating the object, as the weight gain is exacerbating the blood pressure problem. These tablets are draining my energy, reducing my motivation and making me feel depressed. I'm also hungry all the time since being on them. There has to be an alternative which is safer as the side effects are frightening. The tabs gave me very severe headaches to begin with, which have gone now, and the blood pressure has reduced. Can anyone help, please? I do not want to risk having a stroke as my dad had one, so I need to get the BP under control safely and naturally. I am trying to reduce stress in my life and I'm not old, by the way! Neither of these 2 tablets produces weight gain, though bisoprolol may make you tired and amlodipine can produce ' malaise'. You will not get control of your blood pressure with any herbal or natural products. Go back and see your GP. There are plenty of other medications he can try. If you stop these drugs and your BP inevitably rises, you will risk heart attack or stroke. Source(s): GP for more years than I care to remember Consult a qualified herbalist/alternative medicine specialist. I was on blood pressure tablets for 2 years but the side effects where that bad in the end ,i came off them myself. I have used Garlic to lower blood pressure and eating celery helped to bring it down, although i can stand the taste, and i also cut down on salt. try to exercise by walking as much as you can.but consult with your doctor first before taking any exercise. I also used autogentic training and i try not to get to stressed out with things, easier said than done. my bp is now 120 over 85 and it used to be 160 over 110. Good luck. I was on diuretics for my blood pressure.Do you use salt cause that will increase ur BP.For energy you can try ginseng. If you live in a country with relative individual freedom and liberty, then you may find cannabis quite useful for lowering your blood pressure. It is a quite benign herb that research has found to be useful for many medical conditions, including high blood pressure and stress. http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v06/n810/... http://www.news-medical.net/?id=18517... http://www.norml.org/index.cfm?group_id=... |
