Is there any thing to take other than the usual medicine for high blood pressure? |
I am female 5'6 weight 155 I have been working out for two years a number of different classes.walk every day..lost 30 pounds just had my pressure taken it is 155 over 105..what else can I do to avoid medications....any suggestions? When did you take your BP? If it was right after a workout, you might not have an accurate reading. The best time to take your BP is in the morning right after you wake up, but before you eat. If that was really your resting BP it's too high and you should go to a doctor very soon. I take BP medication and have no side effects. You should not avoid them if you need them, and it sounds to me like you do. Good luck with your health! Source(s): Personal experience. old,old school remedy, get raw garlic and smash it place it in a quart of water and drink two glasses a day. don't laugh it works. What are you eating and drinking? Drink lots of water, not soda and watch you salt intake! go to your local health store or get on line and use natural products I use natural products instead of medicines for regular cures I feel better with no heavy side effects good luck there alot out there for natural cures start looking your blood pressure it way to high the bottom # is what you really need to worry about the average bp is 126/70 good luck and you shouldn't sit on this to long HI, I have had high blood pressure for years now, and about 8 months ago I started drinking grape juice. I drink about 3 large glasses a day , and my blood pressure has been normal ever since. My blood work also comes back ok.Another thing you could take is celery salt or celery seed. Some people just have to take medication. Also, try eating lots of celery. I don't know why that is supposed to help but I read it in some scientific journal. |
