Is there any diet pills over the counter that are safe for people with high blood pressure, thyroid, prob? |
is there any diet pills that a person can take that takes meds for thryoid and depression and high blood pressure, thanks and I also wanted to say that I am watching what I eat along with it. thanks for your help I'm not sure about the blood pressure issue, but for hypothyroid..if on medication i know that you shouldn't take diet pills or caffeine pills that have ephedrine as an ingredient. I know that it isn't allowed to be an ingredient or at least in Ky but there are a lot of places that still sell items with it in it...so beware. A better question would be, "are there any diet pills that are safe?". Most diet pills contain substances that are stimulants (like caffeine). These will raise your blood pressure. I would speak with a doctor before taking any kind of diet pills. All of the OTC diet pills that I can think of are NOT safe for people with high blood pressure (or anyone else for that matter). They are stimulants which increase your pressure. If you are eating a healthy diet and exercising you should notice some differnence in about 6 weeks. Forget the pills. Eat properly and exercise. Your doctor should be the one answering these questions. He's familiar with how the medications will interact with each other. Play it safe. You really should ask your local pharmacist. They would be able to recommend something that possibly will not interact with your current meds. I would simply suggest that you eat healthier and get more exercise and leave those diet pills alone. Good luck! There are no safe diet pills as such and certainly not along with any medication you may be using for high blood pressure and depression. They will accelerate your heart rate to the point of being potentially fatal. You would be much better served using weight loss supplements that are designed with things like high blood pressure/thyroid problems and depression meds that are user friendly.
