Hi i just want to know wether its true that if you suffer from high blood pressure you can not use contracepti |
is it true that u can not use birth controls if you suffer from high blood pressure? You have to have your blood pressure checked before you can take the pill. They won't give it to you if it's too high. Not true at all... my wife has high blood pressure (takes Lisinopril for it), only one kidney, and can use birth control pills. Talk to your OB/GYN about it. IN many cases, stopping hormones will cure the BP. I would not put a hypertensive on bc pills. Birth control pills can predispose you to blood clots. High blood pressure can too. A combination of the the two can increase your risk even more, therefore it is smart to have your blood pressure treated if you are taking birth control medication.
