What does it mean when your sysolic number is normal and your diastolic number is high on your blood pressure? Your heart beat go ba bump ba bump and the systolic is the ba and the diastolic is the bump. When that's high the blood in your veins is pushing agains t the walls of your veins more than the ba and that's not always cause for alarm, but it could be a cholesteral proble. If you're worried about it, cut back on sweets and fats for a few weeks and see if it gets any better. AHHHHHH you are about to drop over dead any minute! Better get right with God real Quick! Anybody you need to call to ask forgiveness from?? Quick, before it is too late!!! What is high? Between 75 to 85 is normal. Anything above 85 could be a sign that you are retaining to much water due to, to much sodium. Cut back on your salt intake. If it continues, go see your doctor. As Snowbaby said, there could be an issue with your cholesterol but keep in mind that people with low blood pressure can still have a heart attack or stroke. Cholesterol is another issue altogether and should be monitored along WITH and not as a part OF your blood pressure. People make that mistake and think that if their blood pressure is low then there is no reason to monitor their cholesterol. Something to also keep in mind, if you take medication to reduce the water retention and one day you find you can barely move, your knees give out as you stand, begin to tremble...basically feel like you're going to die, your potassium levels are to high. Remember, sodium and potassium work together to produce the electrical charge that keeps us alive. Bottom line, keep yourself hydrated even though you're on a water reduction medication. |
