Can someone tell me what the stats on blood pressure and pulse is? What is high what is low? What is normal?

What causes a fast heart rate?

Some of what is stated above is true or close to it. Blood pressure guidelines and treatment Standards can be found in the latest JNC 7 (Seventh Report of the Joint National Committee on Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure) The guidelines below are what is recommended by this report (which is considered the best source of Hypertensive guidelines)

Ideal Bp is 115/75

Prehypertension is systolic 120-139 and/or
Diastolic of 80-89

Hypertension (stage 1) begins at a systolic of 140-159 and/or a diastolic of 90-99

Hypertension (stage 2) is a systolic above 160 and/or a diastolic above 100

The risk of cardiovascular disease starts when BP is above 115/75. For every 20 mmHg rise of systolic pressure and/or 10 mmHg rise of diastolic doubles your risk for cardiovascular disease. Source(s): JNC 7 report is hundreds of pages long, the below link is the JNC 7 express which gives concise overview of the full version.

normal is around 120 over 80, high is like 160 over 100 and low is obviously anything lower its cause by genetics, emotion sometimes, and foods as well
The"ideal" blood pressure would be 120-80 +/-20 (Dyastolic-Systolic Pressures, respectively, the systolic must be taken more in account than the other.) Pulse may vary fron 60-110 aprox. Fast heart rate may be caused by physical activity, emotional arousal (anxiety, fear, anger) or disorders as hypertension.
A standart small blood pleassure should be 7(00)-8(00) and the big one should be around 11(00)-13(00) depending on the weight and age.And normal pulse should be around 70-85 when you're sitting still.Pulse also changes according to body weight and age.Fast heart rate can be caused by various reasons like hyperthyroid, simple or serious heart deseases etc.
excellent question!
Normal/high blood pressure is considered to be anything at or below 130/80. Normal is 120/80 and borderline is at 135/85. Diet or a history of heart, liver, kidney disease or stroke can cause bp to rise to dangerous levels. Also some medications can cause your BP and pulse rate to rise as well as many medications can interact with each other and reak havoc on your body. If you are eating a diet that contains a high level of sodium and are experiencing very high BP levels. STOP NOW! You are on the road to self destruction.
A normal pulse rate is about 85 to 95 beats per minute.

hope this helps
Blood pressure should be between 120 to 140 for the systolic (that's the top number), and between 60 to 80 for diastolic (that's the bottom number). Systolic pressure is how strong your heart beats, and diastolic pressure is how well your heart rests. Pulse should be between 60 to 80 beats in a minute in an adult.

Tachycardia, or rapid heart rate can be caused by many things....if we are not talking about activity levels. See your doctor to run tests as to why your heart is beating fast.
