Im 20yrs old, my blood pressure is what i fink is high 120/90 yet my doctor thinks thats totally normal? |
doesnt the combined pill make ur blood pressure even higher? cause thats what my doc jst prescribed me.shld i get second opinion? If you have hypertension history in your family then you need to be careful. I'm not sure if someone so young should be on blood pressure medication, if that's what you mean by "combined pill". You have normal readings, although the 90 might be considered as high. Yes, I would say get a second opinion as far as medication is concerned, otherwise no, you are normal. But more importantly find out about family history related to this. Eat right and exercise. Starting now will ensure a healthy lifestyle for tomorrow. Your BP is perfectly normal. Good going! Not a thing to worry about at all. Textbooks used to say 120/80 was perfect, but they have revised that lately. The Combined pill??? Is that some sort of BCP? If so, no worries, your BP now is good enough that you can stand the risk. A high blood pressure reading is: * above 135/85 for the general population * above 130/80 for people with diabetes. You are fine. This is a total normal blood pressure. Optimal BP is 110/70 area and you are right there, so I don't think there is any cause for concern. Just keep a check on it and watch for erratic changes in it. Then, that would really be something to worry about. If it stays steady, I wouldn't worry....that's just me, though... your paranoid im a nurse your blood pressure is fine It is within the normal range. your bp's fine... the normal bp for most individuals have a 120 (+or- 15 )over (+or-15)80.then again a percentage of the population do have a normal high or low bp... so its all about knowing your baseline to know whether...your bp's off the charts. |
