Simple non-denominational meditation, which cosists of sitting in a comfortable, relaxed posture and just watching the breath as it goes in and out without controlling it. Don't do poses which arch the back -- cobra, back bends, etc. These will often stimulate the kidneys and adrenalin -- contraindicated for high blood pressure. The "folding" or calming poses will do the opposite. Forward bends - wide legged or single legged will calm all of you down -- including blood pressure. |
