DR said I have a cyst and high blood pressure?

I had my first appoitnment today with my midwife and she said that I had a 1.9cm cyst on my ovary. She acted like its nothing to worry about but it def worried me. Is it common and no big deal?
Also she said my blood pressure was really high (135/90).
I'm 25. Im just about 9 wks pregnant.
I didnt act too worried at her office but after I left I started thinking and now Im really worried.

the only cure for high blood pressure while pregnant is to deliver. since you are only 9 weeks along, that's not good. you REALLY need to watch what you eat, and go on a low sodium diet. 135 isn't the high number, 90 is. you shouldn't have left the doctor's office without finding out ALL you can.

the cyst might not be something to worry about. they'll probably remove it after the baby is born.
The cyst is absolutely nothing to worry about. Many women have them and never even know they do.
As far as the blood pressure, that is DEFINITELY something to keep an eye on. Did she not explain anything to you regarding blood pressure during pregnancy? I suggest you call her up first thing tomorrow and have her explain elevated BP to you and give you suggestions for monitoring it. If she is not answering all of your questions, or making you feel up to date on your medical care, you need a new midwife or medical professional.
Good Luck and Congrats.
first... cysts are very common and it likely will not bother you other than added discomfort.
As for blood pressure... my blood pressure was always normal til I got pregnant... then BAM sooo high they made me stop working... bed rest... they just will keep a watchful eye on you. I had my daughter 5weeks early and as soon as she came out my blood pressure returned to normal. They call in PIH-pregnancy induced hypertension. Due to the situation you may look for a doctors office where you will be monitored more closely. You may be falling into the high risk category. Good Luck to you and congratulations.
It is common, however I wouldn't say its no big deal. I would call her and ask what she suggests you do. If you are not comfortable with her suggestion, go get a second opinion. High blood pressure is definitely something to worry about when you are pregnant. It can cause premature labor and fetal stress. I am very surprised that she didn't give you suggestions then to tell you how to lower your b/p or what to do about the cyst. If this was your first appt w/ the midwife, maybe you should go find another if she's not giving you any solutions. Just because you interviewed the midwife, doesn't mean that the first one has to be the one you use. If you don't like her, keep looking until you find someone you are comfortable with.

God bless.
