CNN, in a story on August 20, 2002 mentioned that these anti-cholesterol statin drugs, were known to cause nerve damage (polyneuropathy) in one in every 2200 patients, and that for people over 50 on the drugs for over two years the chances of nerve damage were 26 times higher than the normal population. That puts over 6,000 people at risk for nerve damage each year.
Other statin drug side effects include brain and central nervous system. A separate statin study by Dr. Muldoon in Pittsburgh showed that 100% of the participants, after only 6 months on the statin drugs, suffered measurable declines in cognition.
Dr. Gupta in the CNN story did mention that the same class of statin drugs had earlier been implicated in the myopathy problems, the worst of which were the dozens of deaths from rhabdomyolysis (muscle damage to the degree that the dying cells in the system can no longer be processed by the liver and kidneys), that were associated with all statins but mostly Baycol, which was subsequently removed from the market.
Merck (the manufacturer of Baycol) knew of this problematic side-effect over 10 years before these deaths, as documented in a US patent, filed in 1989, for a way of mitigating the known myopathy side-effects of statin drugs.

Fact I gave my dog herbal supplements for her cancer

Merck tried to kill my neighbor because he was their top chemist and they were afraid he was going to give out information. They tried killing him and he sued and now they have to pay him thousands of dollars the rest of his life.

Science is incomplete. Maybe one day a scientific explanation will be found which explains why homeopathy works.
In the mean time people who refuse to beleive it works had better come up with a explanation with the same body of evidence that they are asking for explaining what else goes on to make people better if it isn't homeopathy or whatever therapy is being refuted.

No. Until then science has to prove using its own criteria why people get better. If it cannot do this this phenomenon should not be ignored. I have met alot of people over the years, some of who believe crystal therapy, god, homoeopathy work some who think it's all twaddle. One thing they all had in common was that they got better with their ailments ( I'm not talking life threatening ). I think it all boils down to belief at the end of the day. Many people have psychosomatic illness because they read it in the paper or on the instructions of their conventional medicine. I believe all remedies have a place in life. The research into traditional remedies has helped towards finding cures and so can't be completely sidelined. Learning something factual is hard and should not be ventured into by trolls like yourself.
There are facts in homeopathy as well as in western medicine. More folks are killed by physicians than by homeopaths.

I have personally experienced results that traditional medicine was seemingly unable to fix. I've personally watch natural supplements changed peoples lives in areas that traditional medicine had failed. Besides if you look at the medical industry many people (including doctors) are changing their ways to prevention. Because of the fact many people don't have health care and prescriptions seem to give you more side effects than they do benefits. People are begining to change to prevent and ailment from occurring instead of waiting to be diagnosed. Homeopathy works by activating the well-known Placebo Effect in people who believe in it.
Homeopathic preparations contain NO chemicals or therapeutic agents whatsoever so people are happy because they're safe, whereas conventional medicine is often not safe.

Herbal medicines contain active therapeutic agents and are different from homeopathic medicines. People get mixed up with this and will refer to ALL alternative medicine as 'homeopathy'. The people who believe in homeopathy don't understand the placebo effect, which can be very real but only works in about 20% of cases which are invariably psychosomatic.
They probably don't fully understand the level of dilution used, although the idea of curing like with like might be appealing.
The dilution they claim as about the best is equivelant to one drop of the 'active' ingredient in ALL THE WATER IN THE WORLD.
They are generally the same people who believe in horoscopes, mediums, spoonbenders and the like, all these paronormal claims are best explained by James Randi, and here are his findings on homeopathy, I would be interested to hear from anyone who can counter his arguments.
