There is not a cure for herpes, even when it is not active, you still have it.

No cure but remedies to lessen the frequency of outbreaks.

There is no cure for herpes. While antiviral medications can reduce the frequency and severity of outbreaks, the person still has it and can transmit it at any time...even when the person is not having an outbreak.

Note...most people who are infected with herpes became infected when their partners had no signs or symptoms of an outbreak.
