Did you know that homeopathy can only work if the following statements are true?Do you still believe it works? |
1. diluting something makes it stronger Chewycon: lots of people believe it. I suspect they haven't really thought about the non-science behind it, and just assumed because it's for sale in Boots, and the NHS wastes millions on it, it must be valid. Hello, who believes it anyway? i know that it is the same sort of way some tham immunisations work, so this makes a bit of sense to me Well ,water does have memory, that's a fact. The thing about some remedies such as homeopathy is that it just works, whether or not you can make sense of it. I was incredibly skeptical of it... but it's proven itself to me time and time again. I've used it to cure my cat of an eye infection when veterinary medicaine failed, and I've seen it work on screaming children. So science can prove it wrong all they like... but it does work. It's just one life's little mysteries First of all, there is truth to homeopathy. As far as number one goes, I can tell you at the very least, bleach is much more effective against pathogens when diluted, specifically, one part bleach to 10 parts water. Injectable medication is often diluted with something (like sterile water or saline) before injection. IV's are almost always reconstituted with something, whether it be in the manufacturing process or in the pharmacy. Even pills are not pure medication. They contain buffers, among other things, because without them, you would be poisoned. Agree with you! Homeopathy is bunch of crap! People make loads of money by selling these sugar pills that have no beneficial effect. Not only are they NOT regulated well but they have NO PROOF of working. Several scientific papers have indentified favourable results of homeopahty over placebo. For example, Mathie (2003) for childhood diarrhoea, fibrositis, hayfever/allergic rhinitis and influenza. A total of 93 randomized clinical trials have been analysed. You'd rather believe the medical industry and the pharmaceutical industry then? |
