my 6 month old gordon setter has damaged her tail and has a slight infection in it. we have treated it with steroid injections and antibotics but as i have been down this route before to no avail (ended up with tail amputation ) i am keen to try all other methods of curing the problem skin is dry and warm to touch abd a little sensetive to touch not sure what you have done, but I would shave the area, give it a good coating with polysporin, cover with vet wrap, spray with bitter apple and give the antibiotics time to work. From what I know of homeopathic vets, I don't think they could offer you much, but an animal chiropractor might be able to stimulate the blood flow and speed up healing- just a thought, I haven't had to deal with this as I have docked breeds. Contact an aromatherapist in your phone book. Some essential oils are extremely good for treating infections. colloidal silver. google it. it works miracles. my dog had mrsa and i treated it with colloidal silver |
