To start, there are courses in homeopathy on YouTube that you can watch before you invest a lot of time and money.
The course titled "PM02: Homeopathy" is a good place to start.
There is also a book called "Homeopathy: How It Really Works" available on Amazon.com.

You can study homeopathy at the same time that you pursue a tradtional course of study such as medicine, nursing, physical therapy, etc. It works best in combination with traditional therapies.

Homeopathy is a study to itself and does not need any other professional training to validate itself! In fact this way it just gets watered down and put into a completely different orthodox context. An ND (naturopathic doctor) is a fine thing to be but it is completely different from being a homeopath, as is being an herbalist. people tend to glob them all together, and they are actually very distinct and deserve in depth study rather than a superficial training. If that is what you decide, choose wisely and do the real thing, not some chinsy online bs.

For as long as you want to! Do you want it for personal use or to practice professionally? There are many different training programs and various schools of thought in homeopathy, worth careful consideration and scrutiny to find the right one for you. Be picky! The homepath I know has litterally been studying and practicing for over 25 years, and continues to learn...
Im going to throw my opinion out here too: if you feel drawn to study and use homeopathy - GO FOR IT! It is a very safe option that helps a lot of people, particularly children, with common ailments, and without any dangerous side effects. We already have a great deal of toxic medicines...although perhaps all have their place. There are some great resources for homeopathy online, and some excellent books out there. Oftentimes nurses, midwives, MD's and even veterinarians will combine their training with homeopathy, and have all options on the table for effective treatment.
