Homeopathy - How do I take them? |
I went to see a homeopath yesterday. So far I'm more that sceptical about the whole thing but she told me that those medicines will not hurt me if I try them and if prescibed wrongly. If so, how do I take them? She gave me 3 powders in of, I believe, Phosporus as she was going on and on about it. How do I take them? She either didn't tell me or I've forgotten. Also, I was reading about Phosphorus type on the internet but although a small number of things could decsribe me, most of them are definitely not me, it sounds like some sort of a mad person I know I'm not! It's all very weird but as I said, - I'm willing to have a go. I went to see her because of irregular heartbeat that my GP said was fine, by the way. She didn't give me any answers neither, just asked me loads of questions which, looking back at now and reading about Phospohorus, were all leading to that type. Just tip them in your mouth & let the powder dissolve. Don't eat or drink for 20 mins either side of taking the remedy. Hopefully, she's told you what other things to avoid - coffee, mint, eucalyptus, menthol, tea tree ...... to mention a few things. Contact her to check if not. It's important that you feel comfortable with the practitioner you are seeing. It's a very complex discipline & you can read any remedy & think it's suitable for you in some way! As a practitioner myself, I do't treat myself or my family - we all go to a homoeopath for that!! This is because you need a completely objective view - and no one can be that to their own. The remedy pictures describe all levels of a person - so they can look as if there is a mad element to all of them!! We all have that potential within us given the wrong set of circumstances! Seriously- they should have showed you "HOW" to take the suggestion remedy and the exact way a "main stream" doctor prescribes a RX for you. Natural remedies do not often work as fast as "genetically altered" medicines, so be patient and keep a wellness log. Literally write down you physical, emotional aspects on the process of this remedy. Only YOU will know and see the truth of that process on your body. Hey, if it works great. I would hope they asked you tons of questions and grilled you good. They need to know exacting how to help you best. I would try acupuncture next. Go for at least four session, and see if you heart issues are considerably better. It stings, it doesn't hurt. I works, I put my hand on the bible. Alternative Medicine Advisor for 23 years. hi you... when my homoeopath gives medicine she gives dropes, some three of four diff. types. according to requirement she suggests to take no. of drops at regular interval, some time after ten minutes gape only in a row. but take them seriously, and continuously. as the matter of fact that homoeopathy is considered alternate medicine, people have their own doubts... you will have to give a good long time... my wife got appendix, and doctors suggested immediate operation, but we opted for homoeopathy... after a long one years' treatment now she is completely got rid of appendix... which is unbelievable... u must follow the instructions given by your homoeopath and take medicines continuously... get well soon... homeopathy is very good, it has helped me on a number of occassions. However, seeing a good homeopath can make all the difference to make a right prognosis as sympotoms can be very similiar for many medications. If she didn't tell you how to take them or you feel she's not competent, you'd be better off seeing a different one (I know of a very good homeopath, depending on where you live).. you're supposed to not drink coffee during the time you take them or if that;s difficult donot drink it about 20-30 ins before & after you take the medicine. Also don't take anything strong tasting (eg mints, garlic,brushing teeth) 20-30 mins before & after taking them. Also, you could find find a homeopath through the British Homeopathic Association.
