Homeopathy has never been proven to cure anything. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease, and there is no indication that a homeopathic treatment can stop the body from attacking itself. Many practitioners of natural medicine make the claim that their treatments work by "strengthening the immune system". If this was true, and their treatment worked, this would be the LAST thing someone with an autoimmune disease would want. It would make the attack aginst your body WORSE, not better. There is scientific evidence to suggest that a "leaky gut" plays a role in autoimmunity by letting in possible triggers like whole dietary proteins into the body, which then triggers the autoimmune attack. As of now, the "leaky gut" cannot be corrected, but some people with autoimmune diseases find they do better when they cut out suspected dietary triggers that *may* play a role in autoimmunity in people whose genes put them at risk. These are: gluten (wheat, barley, oats), casein (cow's milk protein), and Lechtins (found in small amounts in most foods, but in large amounts in tomatoes, beans, potatoes, and eggplant). Some people also find that taking anti-inflammatories such as Omega 3 EFA's supplements help. I suggest this to all people with autoimmune conditions. Don't ever stop your treatment (without discussing with your doctor) in favor of homeopathic medicine. If you want to try it, do it WITH your current treatment. If homeopathy cured anything, everyone would be cured of every disease, and homoeopathic doctors would be billionaires. I am not against natural medicine in a relatively healthy person with a cold, but that changes for someone with a serious illness. Before modern Western medicine came along, people with serious illnesses either became severely disfigured and in pain, or died. No one can dispute that. That is why Western medicine evolved. Traditional "medicine" wasn't saving any lives when the stakes were high. Natural stuff is fine if you're healthy for the most part, or ALONGSIDE treatment from an MD as a complementary therapy. I have heard of homeopaths saying they could cure people they couldn't (no one can). The child died, and there was a lawsuit. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. I wanted to add that probiotics may help with the "leaky gut" issue. You can find these at any health food store. None of these things will 100% "cure" you, keep in mind, but they may help your symptoms. Pre-Med student I have RA and it never helped me I would like to recommend HUMIRA it works great I just started it and already after a few weeks started seeing results of decreased stiffness in morning and all together.
