support it? and it is also cheaper and more likely to prevent virus/bacteria from mutating Because that way The Pharmaceutical industry will lose all its business if they let the people know how effective Homeopathy really is. They just do not want us to be using anything which can possibly Cure us. Who needs those drastic side effects but alas the people are blind to the truth. What a bloody shame. Source(s): Own experience Because it does not work efficiently and effectively on the majority of people. It has nothing to do with costs. It has to do with what works and what does not work for whatever ails you. If it worked people would use it despite the government. There just is no documented scientific proof that herbal medicine works at all efficiently. There is documented scientific proof that antibiotics and other drugs work. Bottom line will always be . . if it doesn't work you won't use it . . if it works, people will use it. Experience. My teenage son has a rare stage IV abdominal sarcoma. Fighting for two years for my sons life. We've done the research. I apologize. I thought I was posting in the cancer forum. I will leave my comments since that is my opinion from what I have witnessed with advanced cancer. My real wish is that all this political nonsense would be put aside and all medicine come together to solve these life and death issues. Why doesn't the government support it? Because it is cheaper. The government is supported by profitable businesses. If we, the people, want our government to support something, we must first support it, ourselves. We can, in time, get government support for better and faster medicine if we support it ourselves. We hear about these natural remedies, and we tell our friends and relatives about them, but, there is no big money supporting them, as there is the drug (legal) industry. IMHO: The best argument is that we really need something to prevent virus and bacteria mutating. Yay !!! Good for you for thinking for yourself and good on you Bob for braving the backlash !! I was starting to think that the well oiled marketing machines out there had brain washed nearly all of humanity!! Bob is right on the money, but not only will the Pharmaceutical industry drop tonnes of $$, imagine the Doctors (hahaha) and the Specialists (bigger hahaha) that will be out of a job??? The amount of times I have helped people on this site deal with simple vitamin deficiencies, after being told by their Doctors to take a barrage of major organ tests and been pumped with an inordinate amount of useless chemical and useless medications I simply can't recall. I mean, seriously, if the Doctors just told their patients to stop eliminating whole food groups, focus on natural/organic, fresh fruit and vegies, lean meats and fish and chicken, wholegrain breads and cereals, nuts and seeds, plenty of filtered water and eliminate all sugar/chemicals/toxins/junk and white foods wot do you think would happen???? Yep, people would avoid chronic illnesses in droves and Doctors (read amoral quacks) would be out of a job !!! Go figure, people will just not be told though, they think they everything in moderation is an acceptable way to live!! Seriously, can you imagine !! To my way of thinking, if something is toxic it doesn't matter whether you have a little bit or a lot, it will just poison you slower !! It's akin to asking for just a little bit of herpes or cancer !! The idea is to prevent these devastating diseases occurring in the first place, treat your bodies as a temple, with the utmost respect. You wouldn't expect your car to run on chocolate now would you?? No, you need petrol. Same with our bodies, chocolate is mainly sugar, which has no nutritional value whatsoever and therefore is a toxin to our bodies. The Government would prefer to eke as much $$$ out of their big fat medicine cow as possible, with the only downside in their minds being a little bit of blood on their hands !! They have basically brain washed the bulk of the community into believing that Naturopaths, Homeopaths, Nutritionists are all crackpot hippies who are high on wacky weed all day long !! We just need to start doing the research and thinking for ourselves, cos believe it or not, the people that have your health and well being truly in the fore of their minds are YOU & YOUR WHOLISTIC HEALERS !!!
