A cancer patient ,not going for ray/chemo treatments, has opted for homeopathy. Is the decision correct? |
Diagnosis was:-1)Poorly differentiated Carcinoma of Endometrium.a)poorly differentiated Adenocarcinoma b) High-grade Neuroendocrine Carcinoma.2)Full thickness of Mymetrium is invaded by the tomour.3)Scrosal invasion-Present.4)Lymphatic & vascular invasion-Present.5) Cervix, both Overy & Tube is free of tumour. The patient is the only one who can make that decision at this point. My bestfriend once had beast cancer. She went through all of the conventional treatments. She was cancer-free for a few years. She had a recurrence about 6 month ago. This time she did undergo the radiation, but opted to skip the chemo. I had been her primary support, the 1st time around. She had picked me because, for one, I have a very strong personality. Trust me, you need one to stand up to her. Another reason she chose me was because I question "everything". I do not take anything at face value. If you tell me that this is this, I need to know why or how. I questioned everything the doctors said and I questioned every decision she made. That is exactly what she trusted me to do. If I wanted to argue a decision with her I had to do the research to back up my argument. She is no dummie either. By going through this debate we found and alternative treatment. We comprimised, and she added the new treatment to her regiment. By the time the 2nd time came, I had moved to another state. I know what she went through the 1st time. It was no surprise to me, when she informed me of her decision,(to just do radiatin withou chemo). I gave some arguments, but to no avail. She explained that with all of her given peramiters, that conventional treatment was only effective about 3% of the time. Sh felt that the quality of life that she wold have for the remainder of her time, wasn't worth a 3 % chance. She wants to feel as good as she can for as long as she can. She wants to live and to enjoy every day that she has left. Who am I to argue with her about that? If a person has all the facts and they are making an imformed choice, then only "they" can decide what is right for them. We can only be there to love and support them. The rest is out of any of our hands. Only the patient can decide what is best for him. I wish you/or whoever it is the very best of luck. God Bless. Normally homeopathy is merely a way to cleanse the body and have the body operate at best levels, not a way to "heal" a desease. Also there are not homeopathic doctors but there are naturpathic doctors licenced in a few states in the US. I beleive that these forms of healing can help they should never be done against doctors advice. alot about medical treatment is still guess and wait and see.. i wish your friend good luck. it beats doing nothing It depends are they "terminal"? Surgery, chemo and/or radiation can make a difference in the length of their life. My husband first had cancer in 1986 and was considered 4th stage. He had full chemo and surgery and no recurrence for over 18 years! Five years ago he had to have a pituitary tumour removed and then had to have radiation on that area in his head - low dose for 6 weeks. He went back work within a month or two that time. Now he's had a recurrence of the 1986 cancer and has had chemo and surgery and more chemo. He's definitely not sick and is recovering, hoping to return to work soon. Life experience - all cancers are different though. My wife has had Cancer and what I have found as we have sought treatment is that people divide into camps. Many times Doctors totally dismiss natural approaches and people advocating natural approaches often times will not avail themselves of effective medical treatment. This is nonsense. Your concern first and foremost is to be cured. Whether that is exclusively through "natural" means or through powerful medicine or both really doesn't matter. My suggestion is that you immediately change your eating habits and make lifestyle changes. This is a good idea whether you have Cancer or not . Eating healthy natural foods will not do any harm and increases your chances of survival. Many natural approaches encourage regular and thorough bowel movements . The thinking is that toxins develop in the digestive system and overload the liver which is a primary filtration system. Having regular bowel movements is a good idea but why not do that as well as see if there is a drug that can attack the cancer directly? Sometimes Oncologists do not keep up with the latest developments. In my wife's case she was misdiagnosed as having Klatskin's tumour and sent home to die. We were told that the tumor obstructing the bile duct and invading the Liver was inoperable. This was a lie. We found a Doctor at a teaching hospital who skillfully resected the tumor and she is alive and cancer free today. It turns out that even when the tumor was removed though the cancer came back. We had to go to another Doctor who accurately determined that the tumor was actually Breast Cancer that had surfaced in the liver (my wife had had breast cancer several years earlier). After taking a very strong hormone blocker, the tumor disappeared. I have alot to tell you because I am extremely sympathetic to anyone undergoing the nightmare of cancer. I hope I am conveying some good information. My point in all this is be prepared to fight on all fronts. In my wife's case the initial tumor in the bile duct was too far advanced to treat with drugs alone. I am convinced that if we had gone with drugs alone or a strictly natural approach alone she would be dead. Having said that , is it a good idea to eat healthy food, have regular bowel movements and use natural methods of healing? ABSOLUTELY. Are there instances where this approach in and of itself has cured cancer? Yes. The beauty of allopathic medicine is that it is good at treating acute conditions and unfortunately cancer in most instances is acute. Prostate cancer for example unless it is advanced might be a canidate for a natural approach since it grows slowly. Each case is different. My suggestion is that you go to a teaching or University Hospital since they are usually more up to date. I would get a second, third or even fourth opinion. Cancer is ruthless and merciless and you should be that way toward the cancer. If it takes a bow and arrow or a nuclear bomb, use what works. Do not assume the natural approach or the use of drugs is best. SEEK HARD STATISTICAL EVIDENCE BEREFT OF EMOTIONAL, COMMERCIAL, OR PROFESSIONAL BIAS. For example there is a drug called Ukrain which in some cases has had spectacular results and has been tested by the National Cancer Institute.Information is at http://www.ralphmoss.com/ukrain.html... It is derived from a plant. I had a friend whose son was sent home to die and they used a highly alkiline plant extract that cured him . There is just no way to know for certain what will work on a particular cancer. But there is an abundance of statistics the use of which may help steer you correctly and increase your odds of survival. My suggestion is while you are searching for the right combination of actions, drastically increase your intake of raw organic vegetables. One theory is that doing so creates an alkaline environment which destroys cancer. Would I sit home and eat vegetables or take a homeopathic remedy and not go to the Doctor? No way. Having said that, would I undergo harsh chenmo therapy and/or radiation without studying my brains out? No way. I am rooting and praying for you.
