What Does Being Put Under Mean In Hypnosis?

Surrendering your mind and access to your subconcious to the probings of someone who went into his/her career to solve his/her own mental quirks.

Pretty much that the subject has entered a state of hypnosis.

It's not a term that I particularly like, because the subject is the one that is putting themselves into hypnosis, not the hypnotist. The hypnotist is just a coach/guide that helps/show the subject how to use a skill that they already have to enter a state of hypnosis.

"Put under" anesthetic, "put under" hypnosis- refers to being "put in the state of".

It really means that a person who does not know about hypnosis is talking.
