Does hypnosis work basically by confusing or distracting the logical thinking of someone?

what are other methods used to access a persons subconcious??

do mental hospitals use medication even??

why and how so?

Thanks for your answers!

Hypnosis is a scientific tool to access the subconscious into areas which the person being hypnotized is either receptive to,, or is blocking due to the traumatic experience it has produced in real life.. On a stage for entertainment,,a person can be made to do things which the hypnotizer networks them thru !! However,,if the mind is formally against performing the act,, they will not do it.. In a scientific atmosphere,, controlled suggestion with the subject in a totally relaxed situation, the subject can be taken back to an incident which occurred in their lives which is hidden in the conscious state,,or even has been totally forgotten.. In a Hypnotic state,, it is as the subject relives the occurrence while in a subconscious state,,and verbally,,with the help of the hypnotist,,communicates what took place in the incident,, Hospitals will rarely use medicine on the subject ,,mainly because it can not only alter results,,it can make it impossible to achieve ANY accurate results.. The object of hypnosis is to open the mind and make it receptive to suggestions !! SOLOMON

Hypnosis is nothing like that. What they do is they relax you and try and get your mind to wander into a dream state, without you falling asleep. The hypnotherapist will then ask questions and you're entirely in control when you reply.

The way hypnotherapy "accesses" those thoughts or subconscious feelings is because you're so relaxed. They just make it easier to relieve memories that had been pushed away.

Mental hospitals will use as little medication as possible because a lot of the way people act is down to thoughts that can often be controlled, and sometimes hypnotherapy and counselling can relieve problems before they begin.
