Christianity and Self-Hypnosis?

Is it okay for a christian to hypnosis their self to (for example) get rid of bad habits or the likes. what does the bible say about that? I don't want to go ahead and do it and be wrong.

How about you pray to god and ask for you to live in his will that way you wont do that bad habit because the Holy spirit will help you in knowing right from wrong.

Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state -- merely a focused state of attention, We get hypnotized (naturally) many times a day --
For example, if you've ever driven a car for a while and gotten "lost" in thought such that you can hardly remember the last few minutes, or how you got from one place to another, that's probably becuase you were slightly hypnotized while driving. The same thing can happen if / when you get really deeply engrossed in a book, TV show, computer game, or similar thing, such that you hardly pay attention to or realize anything else that's going on.

Now, how could that be "against" the bible?

However, if you're really interested in learning how to do it, it's best to have someone TEACH you.

Oh gosh, Self-Hypnosis has NOTHING to do with religion. Self-Hypnosis is a great way to fix bad habits and don't be put off by Christian propaganda.

What are you asking? If you are a believer and a member of a religion, then you are already hypnotized, and I think you ought to just let it be before you put yourself to sleep and never awaken again.

Why would it be wrong? The bible doesnt mention self hynosis but then it doesnt say whether it is ok to use aeroplanes either. Go for it.
